A survey by the National Assn. of Realtors has shown that home buyers these days start their home search online. Only then do they take a list of narrowed down choices to estate agents for physical viewing. If you’re selling your home, the online photos are the first and only introduction to the buyer your home will ever have, and it’s critical to make the most of that one and only chance. Therefore, it is essential to hire a professional photographer to ensure your listing makes an excellent first impression.

Here is a list of 12 tips on how to get your home ready for a professional photo shoot.

1.) De-clutter as much as possible in every room.
2.) Ensure all windows are sparkling clean inside and out.
3.) Ensure the beds are made, the pillows are fluffed and check the bed skirts.
4.) Clean the kitchen, put away all the dishes and clear all kitchen countertops.
5.) Clear all bathroom tops and put away all personal items.
6.) Replace all burned out light bulbs everywhere.
