CORONA VIRUS PROJECT

WHAT IS THIS ABOUT AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THE PHOTOGRAPHS?

I am an accredited photojournalist and professional photographer from Parys. I am writing an article and assembling a series of photographs of how Parys and its people handle the lockdown. The article and photographs are for distributed to National and International media for publication as well as Corona Photo Blogs etc.. The photographs will also become part of the permanent historical records of the Parys Museum in the form of a photo book.

The idea is that I come and photograph you and your family at home under lockdown. I will take the photos from outside your house, and you will be on the inside behind a window so we will not be in contact with each other at all. Social distancing will be implemented, and you and I will be 100% safe. I am authorised as a member of the media as an essential service and can move around.

THEME

I would love to theme the series of photos – “Messages from Parys to the rest of the World.”

You are under no obligation but it will be great if you decorate the window where we are going to photograph you with universally understandable symbols like hearts etc., or your children can draw pictures or write messages of encouragement to people all over the world. If you have family members for example in the U.K., you can do a shout out to everyone in the U.K., whatever you want, have fun and send messages of hope, peace, health to the rest of the world. I will email further info if you are going to participate.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

You will receive a free professional digital photo of you and your lockdown partners at your own home, literally recording you and your family becoming part of this world-first historic event.
You’ll be 100% safe as I’ll be outside, you’ll be inside – safety first and total social distancing applies.
The photographs will form part of a photo book that will be presented to the Parys Museum as a permanent record and addition to the museum’s historic collection. You and your family will thus become a part of the forever history of Parys.
You’ll have something fun to participate in while sitting out the lockdown.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

I’ll make an appointment and then come through to photograph you and your lockdown partners. I’ll stay on the outside and you stay on the inside so that there is no possible contact between us.
